Child Support Suspension

Ohio Revised Code Section 3123.58

Cause
          • The Child Support Enforcement Agency has ordered a driver license suspension as a result of a default on a child support order, or the person has failed to comply with a warrant or subpoena regarding child support issues.

Length of Suspension
          • Indefinite, until compliance.

Appeal Procedures
          • None.

Limited Driving Privileges
          • None.

Reinstatement Requirements
          • Must contact the Child Support Enforcement Agency and satisfy their reinstatement requirements.  The Child Support Enforcement Agency will then notify the BMV to release the suspension.  A reinstatement fee is also required to be paid to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
