We are continuing to move forward with a range of customer service improvements here at your Ohio BMV. One of the significant improvements underway is the migration of the entire Department of Public Safety IT and BMV IT system from a mainframe configuration to a distributed server environment. This project is ongoing, with an anticipated completion in Spring 2012.
As is always the case with massive change to a new IT environment, there are bound to be "some surprises" along the way. Rest assured that the DPS IT staff works diligently to minimize the "surprises," first and foremost, and also work to minimize downtime when outages and glitches inevitably arise. We greatly appreciate your patience, cooperation and collaboration during this time of transition that will result in a much-improved operating system environment.
